Marijuana and the Workplace - What Every Employer Should Know

Jo McGuire is the founding Chairman of the National Drug and Alcohol Screening Association.  She has served on the Colorado Governor's Task Force to implement the regulations for recreational marijuana as an advisor on employer's rights.  She has addressed the United Nations on this topic as well as the 1st Latin American Congress on safe and drug-free workplaces.  Jo is a leading subject matter expert with over 10 years of experience advising employers on their workplace policies where legal marijuana is concerned and offers practical solutions that keep safety first.  

Jo will describe trends in contemporary marijuana use and detection, how employee substance abuse impacts the workplace and what employers must do to keep their workplaces safe and drug-free.  We will specifically discuss the workplace drug and alcohol policy with best practices and helpful suggestions for navigating this complicated issue.
