CCLA is proud to offer three different opportunities for students as listed below.
The deadline for all applications is April 25 yearly.
The Mike Stacy Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship fund is in honor of Mike Stacy, a native of Cape Cod, active member of CCLA and owner of Mike Stacy Landscaping. Mr. Stacy passed away in August of 1989. Lacking a formal education in horticulture, Mr. Stacy was acutely aware of the importance of continually expanding his knowledge and appreciated the educational and professional opportunities gained through his involvement with CCLA. It is fitting that others be afforded the opportunity to further their education and careers through this fund in his name.
One scholarship will be awarded for $2,500 per year, renewable for four years, dependent on yearly GPA.
CCLA Toolship Award
This fund is available to any high school student who is planning to go directly to work after graduation in a Green Industry related position. The award will be in the form of a gift card which will be used to help with their job related expenses, i.e., boots, rain gear, tools, etc.
Multiple awards of $500 per student are available.
CCLA's Diane Johnson Membership Scholarship
The CCLA Membership Scholarship is intended for the son or daughter of a CCLA member (or employee of a CCLA member) in good standing to help with their education.
Multiple $1,000 awards may be offered.
CCLA is a local, non-profit organization consisting of over one hundred and eighty professional companies on Cape Cod involved in the landscape industry. Funds for the scholarships are raised by CCLA’s Annual Golf Tournament to benefit the Mike Stacy Memorial Fund.
